UNSEEN BATTLE
UNSEEN BATTLE
This pandemic health crisis is a TEST
OF FAITH. A faith that He will fulfill His promises. A faith the He loved us
more than we love Him. A faith that He is compassion and merciful. A faith that
He is our father, that He will never be abandoned nor forsaken us. A faith that
we will be able to grasp His beautiful message. And finally, a faith that He is
doing this, to fulfill our own purpose in life.
We have grown that we trust our Almighty,
but sometimes we are also tested and shaken as well. In this time of pandemic
health crisis, many of us build with fear and worries in our hearts. It is
because of this so called- UNSEEN BATTLE that we are facing right now.
As part of health care worker, I am
personally troubled. Worries and fears are running into my head. Negativities thoughts
surrounded me, bothered me!
I believed that I am God’s
warrior and ready for this UNSEEN BATTLE. I am also ready for the worst
scenario that will come on my way. This is how He prepared my heart, mind and
soul. But, in the past days, I doubt my strength, and capabilities. In short, I
am also terrified in this UNSEEN BATTLE. It also adds up with the management
that make our hearts and mind be confused.
But as His daughter and warrior I
need to faced my Goliath. And because He is my Father, He knows how to comfort
me. Last week, when I was confused and was include the issue of resignation on
my list, He made a way to revive it. I watched the online praisefest organized
by Liveloud. I was moved by the sharer, who is an ER- Med consultant. He shared
the stories that they were facing including his own personal reflection. His
personal reflection blown my emotions into God’s personal message for me.
My personal takeaway to his sharing is when he
said that; “I personally prepared you since then during your YFC days.” Tears continuously
drop into my eyes, and it seems that He personally talked to me. Flashback
happened. I reminisced the teachings that they have taught us. Be COMPASSION,
EXCELLENT and have an INTEGRITY (Campus based core values). These concepts and His
message of “do not be afraid because He is with me”, made my Friday night into
a wonderful one.
That Friday was an affirmation
night. Because of the overwhelming message, I messaged a trusted closest friend
who can give me pastoral reflection and can journey with me in this winning moment.
And praise be the Lord for the wisdom that He sent to him. It is indeed a
winning moment of revival.
The journey of revival continued
until on Sunday night, my friends in the community made a video to uplift me and
make me happy. Upon watching that video, mixed emotions running into me. Para
akong baliw! Tatawa tapos iiyak. As I watched on that video, napasabi talaga
akong NAPAKABUTI ng DYOS sa pagpapadala ng mga tao that will uplift my spirit. They
were gifts from heaven.
Now, I might have worries but I
still believed in full faith that I/We will win our own Goliaths. This UNSEEN
BATTLE might be big, but we still have a BIG GOD. His promise never fails like
it is described in today’s first reading about God’s promise to Abraham. In
addition, He also stated in today’s Gospel that “whoever keeps my word will
never see death”. This is a powerful message of the Lord.
