HIS LOVE IS CONSTANT
Last Ash Wednesday, I have heard 3 great attitudes while in this season
of Lent.
HUMBLE, HOLY, and HOSPITABLE.
These three attitudes are hard to practice. It is difficult to be
humble, because of the temptations within the environment. Holiness in this
time, is like crossing the wave against you, which make difficult to walk.
Hospitable which teaches heart to be open, and be cautious at all times.
It is difficult indeed, but trying to posture these 3 attitudes helped
to ask, knock and seek Him continuously every day that kind of grace. In this
sense, our relationship with the Lord, will help to grow and have a deep conversation
with Him. Asking, knocking, and seeking Him continuously remained us to be
humble, holy and hospitable in a matter that we might didn’t know.
On the other side, it will always be a reminder of how big the heart of
the Lord for showing us these kinds of attitudes. In addition, it doesn’t end
there, because He also reiterated why He continuously embraced us every day
despite of our sinfulness. Like what the gospel for today, when He replied from
the complaints of pharisees and scribes about him, why He eat with the tax
collectors and sinners. He just replied with full of love, hope, and mercy, as He
said: “Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do. I have
not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinner.”
The love of the Lord is constant. He came because of us. And as we continuously
ask, knock and seek Him in our daily lives, He will also persistently ask, knock,
and seek us every day and in the time of astray. He will never leave us, nor
forsaken us. Because His love is constant, even how sinful, and unrighteous we
are in His love. Indeed, in Him alone is the greatest manifestation of a great love.
That’s why if you feel alone, remember that He is up there watching and loving
you every day.
daybreak in Saranggani,
it was a time of contemplating of God's goodness.
