JOY AND LOVE

How did you prepare for His coming?

And How did you celebrate the birth of Christ?

Is there an overflowing Joy and Love?  

This year’s Christmas Season has become an intimate celebration for many of us. As Filipino, we start to celebrate Christmas in the month of September. Christmas carols will be heard all over the radio station. People are getting busy from their personal errands like buying gifts and Christmas decorations. Gatherings left and right are present. Christmas party is always around the corner. This has become our way of life since then.

 As I looked back on my previous years, I realized that I celebrate it with a busy schedule. I was on a rush every single day. Gathering here and there. No enough sleep and so on.

This year has been far different for all of us. The pandemic itself slows down the moment, and appreciate every single day. Embracing the source of Joy and Love is more enjoyable. Appreciating every single gift that we have received is much more memorable. There is an enthusiastic heart that is present. Life, health, family/ friends and service abound my heart to be joyful. Indeed, these are the source of my Joy.

As I open my eyes, I feel His unending grace. When I get up in bed with no symptoms and able to enjoy the taste of food are a wonderful blessing. When I able to meet, greet, and see my loved ones are the greatest gift from heaven. When I able to deliver, and share my 3 T’s (talent, treasure and time) to others is a manifestation that He is gracious. These are the beautiful blessing. And these outpouring blessings are because of His greatest Love.

His love for me and for you is the same. We may receive blessings differently, in which I may have things or situations that you don’t have but there are things and situations that you do have, which I don’t have. He is fair in extending His love. Remember that He is deeply in love with you. He never fails to His promise. And for that, we can never fail to extend joy and love to others.

If you experienced an intimate joy and love, if you are able to see the light amidst its darkness, and if you feel peace and hope in these trying times, indeed He is with you. He might be loud or silent sometimes, but He is listening to our troubled hearts. Remember that no one will never be left behind of His love. His birth is a manifestation that He is present always.

Let these positivity remains in our hearts. May we able to see His light and let us live as those who have Christ’s light burning in us today and every day!
