SIN as defined by Oxford dictionary, it is "an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law".

Since it is an immoral act, and against divine law, why we are in love doing it? Is this beneficial to us? or it only satisfy our desires and wants?

In the reading last Sunday (first Sunday of lent), different characters in the Bible has been tempted to sin. But the gospel reminded us how to fight from doing it.

In the first reading, the story of Adam, Eve and the forbidden fruit. The snake has been tested them to disobey the greatest command that time, which is not to eat the forbidden fruit. Out of their curiosity and desires, they disobeyed Him.

In the Gospel, from the book of Matthew, which is The scene of Christ in the desert for forty days. While He was in the desert, he was tempted for 3 times. But He still remain faithful to obey His Father's command.

We are like Adam and Eve. We are tested in this world full of temptations. To satisfy our own personal wants and satisfactions. It is actually become a norm, and righteous in the eyes of many. But this personal choice become a reason, why we are apart from Him, why we feel empty, why we experience spiritual dryness.

In this time of Lent, we are reminded to pray, fast and give. He wanted us to imitate Him and follow his footsteps like what He did in the desert for forty days. Let these coming days become a joyful journey to all of us.
